Kinnectic helps physical therapy clinics stay in touch with patients between visits. When a clinic enrolls you in their check-in program, your physical therapist or front desk staff will explain the program and ask for your verbal consent before adding your phone number.
By providing your phone number and agreeing to the program, you consent to receive periodic SMS text messages from your clinic asking about your pain level, exercise compliance, and recovery progress. These messages are sent only to support your care — never for marketing or sales.
Message frequency varies by treatment plan (typically 2-3 times per week). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or contact your clinic directly to be removed from the program.
During enrollment, the clinic's front desk staff or treating therapist reads the following script to the patient and records their verbal agreement in the patient's chart before adding their phone number to Kinnectic:
“As part of your care here, we'd like to send you a quick text a couple times a week to check on your pain level and whether you've been keeping up with your exercises. These are just for your care team — never marketing. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving them. Is it okay if we text you at this number?”
The patient's verbal “yes” is logged with a timestamp in the clinic's patient record alongside the phone number provided, before any check-in messages are sent.
